I come from a unique family situation in that, growing up, I always had a HUGE extended family because my parents were divorced and both had remarried. I had a step mom and step dad who had large families of their own. This made for some very interesting Thanksgiving Day antics. I went from mom to dad to grandma all in one day.

But this season always makes me think about that one relative or friend of the family, who is, shall we say eccentric? Goofy? Always talks about inappropriate things at the table? You name it. We ALL have that one person who makes the holidays entertaining, if for no other reason than they are wacky! Mine was an “uncle” who would always show up, eat, and then go hide somewhere doing who knows what.
