Well, it should have…
Yes, seems the city of Hollywood, Florida opened up its public parking garage over the weekend, and told people they could park their cars there for FREE, to keep them safe during Hurricane Irma.
Well, a guy named Keijo Kiilo–who owns two car dealerships in Hollywood–decided to take advantage of that generosity, by parking no less than 47 CARS FROM HIS INVENTORY in there!
Of course, people were OUTRAGED–and the word got back to the city–so yesterday afternoon, they hit ol’ KK with 24 counts of “using public ways for private business”.
And since each count is worth a $500 fine–and up to two months in jail–he’s now looking at a maximum penalty of $12,000 in fines, and four years in jail!
[Editor’s note: In fairness, he does offer 0.9% financing for 6 years…and has the “best service department in town”.]
