…unless you got yourself arrested, just to get away from it.

Back in September–as reported here on File 13–a  71-year old guy named Lawrence Ripple robbed a bank in Kansas City, Kansas…and then just sat down in the lobby and waited for the cops to arrest him.

And once he was in custody, he explained to the cops that he WANTED to go to jail…because it was better that living with his WIFE!

That’s right.  In fact, he actually wrote the hold-up note right in FRONT of her–before he left the house–to hammer home just how MISERABLE she made him.

Well, what goes around comes around…because his entire plan has just backfired on him, big time.

Yep, seems he was up for sentencing this week, and since he’d never been in trouble before, the judge decided to go easy on him. (Either that, or the judge has a sick sense of humor.)

Because he just sentenced him to SIX MONTHS OF HOUSE ARREST!  So instead of jail, he’ll HAVE to say at home with his wife.

Like I said, there’s no place like home.
