Valley Strays Looking To Be Your New Best Friend

The 12 Strays of Christmas is over but that doesn’t mean that all the strays at Stanislaus Animal Services have new homes. Your new best friend could be waiting to be a part of your family right now. Our dog Lola (pictured above) was a rescue. When she was found she was matted and covered in grease. It’s hard to look at this photo and believe that anyone wouldn’t want her because she’s as sweet as she is cute but that was the real deal. Obviously she cleans up very nice. We feel like we won the dog lottery.

According to the American Heart Association having a pet, a dog in particular, lowers your risk for heart disease. “People who have dogs live longer than people who have cats, and the assumption has been that dogs naturally cause their owners to be more active,” suggests Dr. Thomas Lee, Co-Editor in Chief of the Harvard Heart Letter. “

So now you can add a new family member that won’t take years off of your life. Adopt today!
