….it’s a record-setter…
Yes, seems a slobbering St.Bernard from South Dakota has just earned himself a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. That’s right, “Mochi”–Carla Rickert’s pride and joy–has just claimed the title for…the WORLD’S LONGEST DOG TONGUE…by measuring out to a full 7.5 inches!
Says Carla: “When we open the Guinness World Records book, and see Mochi’s picture in there, we’re going to feel very proud. And it’ll make all the slobber we’ve cleaned up over the last six-and-a-half years totally worth it!”
Mochi’s record-breaking tongue does come with a few downsides, she says…including the slobber, of course, and some trouble breathing, and the errant leaves and debris it picks up–but Rickert remains proud of her dog’s unique claim to fame.
“It still does not seem real,” says Carla, “Mochi is so humble, and he never brags about it, or boasts, but I know that he’s as proud of his tongue record as we are.”
[Editors note: And a tongue like that must certainly make a dog’s favorite pastime…more rewarding.]
