Just a friendly reminder because sometimes pet owners forget about this when the summer temperatures rise…please DON’T walk your dogs on concrete or asphalt pavement. This
will burn and blister their little paws even when the air temperature is in the 80’s. With the temps going up as high as 110 degrees for the next several days, your pet’s paw pads will be severely burned. Veterinarians say a good rule of thumb is to walk on the pavement yourself or hold the back of your hand to the asphalt for several seconds. If it’s too hot for you, then its too hot for your little fur-baby. Of course, with temps over 100 degrees, its best to just keep them inside where it is nice and cool.
