Seems a Texas couple is crediting McDonald’s, now, for helping them land a record-setting bass.
Yes, after initially failing to get a bite, Matthew McNellis, of Ennis, Texas, says his girlfriend suggested using a Chicken McNugget as bait. And that’s when he reeled in 24.5-inch-long bass, weighing nearly 11 pounds.
McNellis says he immediately took the big bass into the Highview Marina, where it was officially declared to be Lake Bardwell’s all-time, record-setting catch. And with a Chicken McNugget as bait!
Of course, there have been other, less successful attempts to create bait out of fast food items. Like these, that we’ll call File 13’s “Top Five Rejected Fast Food Fish Baits”:
