National Tattoo Day

Show and tell is ALWAYS a good idea!

First, I need to say that I LOVE tattoos! When I was kid I knew that I would get at least one when I got older. My dad had one from his time in the Navy that I always thought was really cool (a sea horse on his arm) and I was enamored by it.

My VERY first tattoo was one I had done literally in someone’s garage (red flag!) at the age of 16 (please don’t tell my parents..hahahaha). Its not the worst tat I have ever seen but it ain’t the best, if ya know what I’m sayin’!

Anywho, that is all it took for me to be totally hooked on the whole thing. Since that fateful day in some random garage in Lodi, I have gotten SEVEN more. Every single one (except that ankh in the garage) has a special meaning to me.

The one you see above is my absolutely favorite. Most people think because I’m a DJ, that I have that one BUT actually, that is my Grandpa Chuck’s mic. He was known as the “Night Watchman” when he worked overnights at KTRB in Oroville in the 50’s. Here he is with it:

My dad made a funny meme using that picture…and its kinda really true! Grandpa had an ELECTRIC personality when he was on air from what I hear (and off to be honest) and I couldn’t think of a better tattoo to honor my best buddy.

So, show me yours! I wanna see the good, the bad, and the what were you thinking!
