It’s “March Madness” time in college basketball, and on Friday, the 16th-seeded University of Maryland-Baltimore County beat top-seeded University of Virginia in the NCAA Tournament–and it’s the first time EVER that a number 16 has beaten a number one.  They’ve gone oh-for-135 up until now.

And that’s BAD news for LITTLE CAESAR’S…because before the game, the pizza chain confidently tweeted that if a 16 seed beat a one seed, they’d give EVERYONE IN THE COUNTRY a free lunch combo…which includes a personal deep dish pizza and a bottle of soda.  (Which SEEMED like a safe bet, but…oops)

So now, on April 2nd, everyone in the nation can go to a participating Little Caesar’s–between 11:30am and 1:00pm–and get themselves a free lunch. Enjoy.
